Vacation

Eat, swim and play! That's what vacation is all about. Bubba Gumps was a fav. Sunsets, pool and sand was the delight of the week.

When Grammie got Grace and Luke the boogie boards Paige told Luke "Surfs up, Bub!" Everyone had a good laugh. Vacations are good for the soul.

John's Pass ~ The boardwalk. We happened to be there when one of the fishing boats just came in from a big catch. We watched the fisherman filet the fish and feed the extras to the pelicans. This was a fun thing to watch. We wanted to go on a dolphin watch but the waves were a little more than we would have like to try. Maybe next time. :)

DISNEY!!! Did someone say DISNEY!!! Thanks to Uncle Rob, we got to visit the land of Magic for a day. We had a blast! Luke is in the Buzz Lightyear ride ~ a favorite!

Paige, for the last two years, has dreamed of sitting on the princess' laps and getting her picture taken. She finally got her wish. We waited in line for over 75 mins. to see the long awaited Fairies. We got to see Siver Mist, Fawn and, of course, Tinker Bell. Wow! What a wait.

Downtown Disney. We had alot fun with this one ~ shopping! Great ice cream from the Ghiradeli chocolate.

Paige is 5 Years Old!!!!

Paige is 5!!!! My littlest one is leaving her preschool years and entering a new phase of her life. I feel bittersweet feelings. I love seeing her grow and learn and cannot wait to see the finished product of her childhood. On the other hand I am going to miss all of the times I held her in my arms and felt her soft baby skin and smelled her sweet smell. I do not have any little babies anymore but I love the blessings that the Lord has placed in my care.

Paige is eating off of the special plate that celebrates how special she is. We celebrate every special occasion with this plate.

Sisters! What a special kind of love!
The traditional birthday pose! How they are growing!!!!!

Each year we try to pick out that special birthday cake and attempt to come close to the original product. :) Sometimes we accomplish this ~ Sometimes we come close. Any way we accomplish a tradtion and time spent making something together. I hope these will become sweet memories!

Grace is 11!

Grace is 11 and growing closer to being a teenager. She can't wait. I do not know why. Little does she know that being a teenager comes with more chores and the school work only gets "more fun". :) It doesn't seem possible that 11 years ago Donnie and I were made parents by this little bundle of joy! We love her and she is our pride and joy. She fits her name and I know that God has great plans for her in her future.

Snow Day 2009

After all of this snow what else was there to do. Paige grabbed a pair of Grace's old cowgirl boots and went out to play. Sophie couldn't miss out on all of the fun so they had a good time together. Sophie had no problem with getting around. She bounded around no problem at all.

Tea and Thee

This was a fun event! Aunt Nina invited us to a Tea and Thee with the youth symphonic orchestra. We attended this with Amanda and Heidi, Nina's daughter and grand-daughter. The theme was "fairies" and the food was yummy as you can see. They had fairy dances and a story about Tinker Bell. We went back to Nina's house afterwards and enjoyed an afternoon of play and a picnic. We enjoyed PBJ sandwiches and chocolate milk. It was a perfect day!

Christmas 2008

Grace was sick on Christmas morning so we won't show the pictures we have of her and her bucket but the other two were ready and raring to go. They were as patient as they could be.

Christmas afternoon was a lot better. We got better pictures of Grace at Grandie's. We still didn't want to eat but at least we were up to opening presents. The "Soph-dog" joined at Grandie's along with Aunt Niecy and Uncle Rob. The day turned out to be a pretty good day after all.

The Sunday School Christmas Program

Grace and Luke were in the Sunday School Christmas Program. Grace played Mary, Abigail, and played the handbells. Luke was a Shepherd and Harry, part of the cleaning crew. They both had parts in the singing also. The not-so-funny thing was that Luke was sick that morning and still "went on with the show" and Paige didn't get to participate at all. She was home on the couch with the flu. Paige did get to make up her part at the Christmas Eve service. They did a great job!

Ice Skating

This is our annual ice skating event with the teens. The kids love and look forward to it all year long. Us "old folks" endure the task and enjoy watching the kids have fun.
